About the Role

This is a senior, high-autonomy role. You will draft substantive filings with limited supervision, run your own client relationships, and set the quality standard that junior team members follow. If you are an experienced paralegal who is ready to move beyond form-filling into strategy, drafting, and team leadership, this position is built for you.

Key Responsibilities

Case Preparation & Drafting

  • Prepare and file nonimmigrant petitions end to end, including H-1B, H-1B1, L-1A and L-1B (individual and blanket), O-1A and O-1B, E-2 and E-3, TN, and dependent filings.
  • Prepare immigrant petitions and adjustment packages, including PERM (ETA Form 9089), I-140 (EB-1A, EB-1B, EB-1C, EB-2 NIW, EB-2, EB-3), I-485 adjustment of status, and consular processing through NVC and DS-260.
  • Draft support letters, expert-opinion request packages, evidence indexes, and exhibit binders that are filing-ready for attorney review.
  • Draft responses to Requests for Evidence, Notices of Intent to Deny, and Notices of Intent to Revoke, including legal-argument outlines and supporting evidence strategy.
  • Prepare and manage Labor Condition Applications in the DOL FLAG system, prevailing wage determinations, PERM recruitment calendars, and audit-ready recruitment files.

Client & Case Management

  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for corporate HR contacts, in-house counsel, and foreign national beneficiaries.
  • Run case-status calls and onboarding calls; translate complex process requirements into clear, plain-language guidance for clients.
  • Own a personal caseload of 100+ active matters, managing competing deadlines, priority dates, visa bulletin movement, status expirations, and travel constraints.
  • Coordinate H-1B cap season from registration through filing, including candidate intake, ranking, document collection, and filing logistics.

Systems, Quality & Team Leadership

  • Maintain case data, deadlines, receipts, approvals, and document checklists in Docketwise and Zoho CRM to firm data-quality standards.
  • Own and improve firm templates, checklists, questionnaires, and standard operating procedures for employment-based matters.
  • Review, mentor, and quality-check work produced by paralegals and legal assistants; deliver constructive training on new processes.
  • Track USCIS, DOL, DOS, and CBP policy changes, processing times, and fee schedules, and brief the team on operational impact.
  • Support accurate time entry, billing narratives, and disbursement tracking for your matters.

Qualifications

Required

  • Five or more years of employment-based and business immigration paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate in-house immigration function.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently draft complex petitions, support letters, and RFE responses that require minimal attorney rewriting.
  • Working command of USCIS filing procedures, the DOL FLAG and PERM systems, prevailing wage rules, and NVC and consular processing.
  • Proven experience managing a large, deadline-driven docket without dropped deadlines.
  • Experience with immigration case management software such as Docketwise, INSZoom, LawLogix, or Cerenade, plus CRM tools.
  • Exceptional written and verbal English, with precise, detail-driven documentation habits.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues from diverse cultural, educational, and professional backgrounds.

Preferred

  • Experience supervising, training, or quality-checking junior paralegal staff.
  • Portfolio experience with EB-5, E-2 investor, O-1 extraordinary ability, or physician National Interest Waiver matters.
  • Familiarity with employer compliance obligations, including LCA Public Access Files, PERM audit files, and Form I-9.
  • Bilingual in English and Russian, Ukrainian, or Spanish.
  • Business development instincts and comfort building referral relationships.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree, ABA-approved paralegal certificate, or a foreign law degree is preferred. Equivalent hands-on immigration experience will be considered.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation: Starting Salary 75k
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Paid time off and paid holidays.
  • Paid continuing education, bar dues, and professional association memberships (role-dependent).
  • Direct mentorship from the firm's partners and a clear path to increased responsibility.
